As part of the Year of Working Professions, a round table was held at the M. Tynyshbayev Transport College at Astana ALT with the participation of representatives of railway organizations. The meeting discussed issues of the quality of education in the field of transport, technical and vocational training, as well as graduate employment.

The purpose of the event is to discuss current issues of the technical and vocational education system, improve the quality of personnel training, expand graduate employment opportunities, strengthen cooperation between educational institutions and employers, and present new-model simulators for working professions as part of the Year of Working Professions.

At the round table, the director of the educational institution Alisher Zhumadildin made a report on the topic “Modern Possibilities of the College: Educational Environment, Practice, and Cooperation.” Deputy Director of the College for Academic Affairs Bibizhan Aimagambetova presented a report on the topic “Cooperation with the College: Developing Students’ Professional Competencies through Practice at the Depot.”

The heads of railway organizations who took part in the meeting spoke about professions in the industry, employee salaries and social support measures. According to the chief engineer of ShCh-16, Alibek Esbosynov, 330 people are currently working in this section, 240 of whom are in various blue-collar jobs.

– Our center, in which more than a thousand people work throughout Kazakhstan, carries out large-scale work. The college trains flaw detector operators, wagon inspectors and specialists working in mobile diagnostic complexes that detect defects in the track superstructure for us. Within the framework of a mutual agreement, 20-24 students undergo industrial practice with us every year, – said Laura Zhubanysheva, HR manager of the branch of JSC NC KTZ – Track Diagnostics Center.
