On February 25, 2026, a roundtable on “A New Format of Cooperation between Enterprises and the College” was held at a college in Astana. The event brought together representatives of leading companies in the railway and transport sectors, as well as social partners.
The main goal of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation between the college and employers, implement modern mechanisms for workforce training, and align education with the real demands of the labor market. Key discussion topics included dual education, hands-on training on real equipment, employer participation in developing educational programs, mentorship, and expanding practical training opportunities.
During the event, the “Occupational Health and Safety” classroom was ceremoniously opened in honor of the distinguished railway worker Kazezkan Zhumataev. The ceremony was attended by the General Director of LLP Kamkor-Lokomotiv.
Representatives from the following companies participated in the roundtable: KTZ-Cargo, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, Kamkor Lokomotiv, DAR RAIL Passenger Transportation, Alstom, and other social partners.
Among the honored guests was Asan Iztleuovich Umbetov, General Director of KTZ-Cargo.
Following the meeting, memorandums of cooperation were signed, and agreements were reached on opening new practical classrooms.
